We have so much to see, but the experience at 121 is truly one of a kind.
Our little storefront officially opened on July 25, 2020, as a dream come true for this wife and mom who had spent the previous 7 years baking to bring in extra income for her family. The vision was simple but unique — create a small rural market that could serve the community through a self-service concept, offer long hours, support Missouri-made products, and operate with low overhead.
Many said it wouldn’t work. Many said it was crazy.
The original plan was for Ashland to keep her full-time job while the market slowly grew over the next two years.
💥 It took TWO WEEKS.
By August 12, 2020, she left her full-time job and stepped fully into the baker and business owner she had always dreamed of becoming.
Since then, the growth hasn’t slowed down.
What started as a self-service market accepting cash, PayPal, Venmo, credit/debit cards, and an honor-system checkout quickly became something even bigger. Customers loved the concept, but even more than that—they wanted connection, service, fresh products, and a shopping experience that felt personal.
Today, 121 has evolved into a fully staffed market where we love helping each and every customer have a memorable experience—from the moment you walk in to the moment you check out. We’re here to serve you and make every visit special.
